North Basy Heritage Gardeners

Heritage Gardeners Today

BrickPath

The ongoing results of this program can be seen today as you meander along the walkway. The efforts of the Heritage Gardeners goes well beyond the borders of the Waterfront to helping to preserve our heritage and building community spirit. Along with the beautification of the waterfront, the Heritage Gardeners enjoy making new friends and enjoy active living.

This is a reminder that a community is only as strong as the individuals who live in it. It's not what the Heritage Gardeners do that is important, it's how and why we do it. We believe that we are modeling care and respect for our community - and that creates change.

Guided Garden Tours

Summer 2011

Along with all the Gardener's normal spring duties of cleaning up and preparing the beds and planting for the spring, they have also taken on the challenge of creating a wonderful additional element for our Waterfront space. The Gardeners have developed a series of guided walking tours through their beloved gardens.

Several volunteers agreed to be trained to act as docents or guides for visitors who wish to learn more about the history and development of the Waterfront, botanical features of the gardens themselves, community involvement and finally, plans for the future.

This venture will provide the Gardeners with a source of revenue for their activities and will provide the public with a chance to learn more about the Heritage Gardeners and their important role in the community.

Help Support your North Bay Heritage Gardeners with all their future plans for North Bay's Waterfront by taking a guided tour of your beautiful waterfront.

Show off your waterfront to your visiting family and friends.

Enjoy an office picnic at the waterfront, and then take a guided tour to find out more about your waterfront. The past, present and future as well botanical information and community involvement are all topics covered during a guided tour.
